Tidy Up with the City's Bulk Trash Pick-up Program
Do you have a couch, recliner, box spring or other bulk items you've been meaning to get rid of? The City’s Streets and Sanitation Division offers Evanston residents the free removal of up to six cubic yards of bulk garbage this fall on a designated Friday based on their normally scheduled trash day. For residents whose normal refuse pick-up day is Thursday, bulk trash pick-ups will be made this Friday, October 10. Learn more >>>

Make your life easier! The City of Evanston offers convenient text and email notifications to keep you informed about street cleaning and snow parking restrictions.
On Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join Family Focus Evanston for a free Community Playday for Families! Seven stations focusing on many developmental domains will feature fun, interactive and age-appropriate activities for children of all ages. Families will be encouraged to explore each station at their own pace and will have the opportunity to learn more about how their child’s play is contributing to his/her development.
