EVANSTON POLICE ARREST MAN IN PARK AFTER HOURS WITH A GUN

Evanston Police officers on Monday night, June 23, 2014 responded to a call of people in the park after hours at approximately 11:15PM. The park was a tot-lot located in 600 block of Mulford St. and police encountered two individuals in the park upon arrival, a female and male. While police conducted a pat-down of the male subject during the encounter, a loaded .40 caliber handgun was recovered from the male’s waistband.  The subject was taken into custody and identified as Brandon Henry, age 29 of Chicago.

Henry was charged with the below listed offenses and determined to be on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for weapons offenses. An arrest photo is attached to this press release for legitimate media publications only.
