CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE CASE CONCLUDED AFTER NINE MONTHS AND FOUR ARRESTS
Evanston Police Department detectives assigned to the juvenile bureau took part in a lengthy and difficult investigation that began in August of 2013 and lead to several arrests involving unlawful sexual acts with a 14 year old boy. The investigation began when police became aware of an advertisement on Craigslist from the victim soliciting sex. The victim’s parents had cooperated with police to determine the sexual interactions their underage son had with numerous individuals from the website.
The investigation required the recovery of email messages, computer records and cell phone billing information that linked the victim to the individuals that responded to the minor’s ad on Craigslist.
As a result, the below listed individuals were charged with various criminal offenses of a sexual nature that involve a minor and our listed beneath each arrestees name. All persons charged have been processed and are on bond awaiting further criminal proceedings in the Cook County Criminal Court system.
