Evanston Man Charged Following Narcotics Investigation
 EVANSTON, IL - An Evanston man has been charged with multiple felony offenses following an August 2026 narcotics investigation by the Evanston Police Department.
In August, investigators received information that Mr. Andre L. Riley, 63, of Evanston, was allegedly selling crack cocaine in the area of the 900 block of Maple Avenue. Investigators gathered additional evidence, including photographs and video depicting suspected narcotics-related activity.
Based on evidence developed during the investigation, police obtained search warrants for Riley's residence and vehicle.
Police later took Riley into custody during the investigation and executed the search warrants. Police recovered and seized two firearms, ammunition, drugs, US currency, and a vehicle. Riley is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Following review with the assistant state’s attorney’s office, Riley was charged with:
Charges
- Five class 1 felony counts of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance
- Two class 2 felony counts of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon
- One class 1 felony count of unlawful possession of 15 or more grams of cocaine
Court Information
- Riley is scheduled for an initial court appearance in front of a judge at the Skokie courthouse on Sept. 4, 2026.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
