Over the next six to eight weeks, sidewalk improvements will take place on Howard Street between Callan Avenue and Chicago Avenue. This work will include the removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, and driveways, along with decorative brick banding and restoration as needed.
Project Schedule
Work is anticipated to begin within the next two weeks. The exact start date will be posted on temporary construction zone “No Parking” signs at least 48 hours in advance of the work. Parking will be prohibited during daytime work hours (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) while construction is underway. Street sweeping parking restrictions will be waived for a one-block radius around the construction zone when temporary daytime no-parking is in effect. Every effort will be made to complete the work in a timely manner to minimize any inconveniences caused by the construction.
Contractor
The contractor for this project is Alliance Contractors, Inc., located at 1166 Lake Ave., Woodstock, IL 60089.
