From neighborhood businesses to arts and culture organizations, and thriving business districts, Evanston is bursting with creativity and we love telling that story!
The city of Evanston’s Economic Development team are urban archeologists who dig to find all the hidden gems that make our town a destination to shop, dine, and explore. We strive to bolster, support and increase its visibility.
In fact, we believe that Evanston is the best-kept secret by the Lake and in 2026, it will continue to shine even brighter!

- Cannot be solely religious or political in nature
- Cannot be solely fundraisers or networking events
- Should be leisure time or recreational activities
Event eligibility is also evaluated on a case-by-case basis. At this time, we are only able to accept event listings in English.
