Envision Evanston 2045:  The Comprehensive Plan is Now Available

EVANSTON, IL - The City is pleased to announce that its Comprehensive Plan, Envision Evanston 2045, is now available on the Envision Evanston 2045 website. It is available in both a single-page digital format and a printable booklet format. 

Physical Copies are available at the following locations:

• Robert Crown Community Center Library
• Evanston Public Library
• Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center
• Levy Senior Center
• Morton City Hall, 2nd Floor 

The plan has been edited and professionally formatted to incorporate feedback and revisions approved by the City Council. It reflects extensive community input and provides a long-term framework to guide the City’s growth, development, and policy decisions. New zoning will be developed to implement it.

The Comprehensive plan will be presented as a special order of business on the January 26, 2026, City Council agenda. The meeting will be held at the Lorraine H. Morton City Hall, 909 Davis Street, in Council Chambers on the second floor. Residents are encouraged to attend or view the meeting on the City’s Channel 16 YouTube Channel.
