Robert Crown Athletic Field Fencing Repairs
Over the next two months, the City will be contracting fencing repairs at the Robert Crown Athletic Fields. The project will involve replacing the existing fence fabrics with heavier-gauge materials to better withstand the high level of use at these fields.
Work is expected to begin in mid-September and be completed by October 2025. During construction, crews will make every effort to minimize disturbances, and all athletic fields will remain open for public use. While some inconveniences may occur, the City will work to reduce their impact on residents and visitors.
To accommodate construction activities, limited parking restrictions may be required at the northeast corner of the Crown parking lot. If needed, temporary “NO PARKING” signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance.
Contractor The project’s general contractor is National Sports Nets, LLC., 1244 State St., STE 312, Lemont, IL.
Project Monitoring The project is monitored by the City’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau. If you have questions or concerns during construction, please contact Landscape Designer Kenon Boehm at 847-448-4311.
