Fall bulk trash pickups begin tomorrow🍂
Get ready for a clutter-free fall! The City offers the free removal of up to six cubic yards of bulk garbage twice a year as part of the Bulk Trash Pickup program. Fall bulk trash pickups will take place on Fridays, Aug. 22 through Sept. 19, and are scheduled according to your normal refuse pickup day. Don't miss this convenient opportunity to tidy up your space. More info.
Look for blue trucks coming this fall
Starting November 1, the City will transition refuse and yard waste collection haulers from Groot to Illinois-based LRS. You'll spot their blue trucks rolling through Evanston. Recycling will continue to be collected by the City’s Public Works Agency.
Who’s included? The service covers single-family homes, multi-family buildings with five units or fewer, and condos enrolled in the City’s program (for food and yard waste services). Don’t worry, collection days and billing will stay the same, and rates are expected to remain stable. Learn more.
