Major Improvements Coming to Beck Park Beginning August 2025

Over the next year, the City will contract improvements at Beck Park (located east of the North Shore Channel between Church Street and Emerson Street). This project is anticipated to begin in August and is expected to be completed by July 2026.

Planned improvements include new playgrounds, walking and biking paths, a redesigned parking lot, a pavilion, upgraded lighting, modern water and sewer infrastructure, site furnishings, and refreshed landscaping.

During construction, portions of the park will be closed to the public. While every effort will be made to minimize disruption, nearby residents may experience occasional inconveniences. Temporary parking restrictions may be implemented on adjacent streets to support construction needs; these areas will be marked with “NO PARKING” signs posted at least 48 hours in advance.

Contractor
The project’s general contractor is John Keno & Company, Inc., located at 8623 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 501, Chicago, IL.
