Coffee Shop: Evanston Pour
Location: 528 Dempster St
What reviewers said : "As an Evanston resident, who has tried almost everything in the town. Evanston Pour is a unique institution. You can get a great cup of coffee or a great cocktail, chat with folks, feel cozy yet elegant in the space. The addition of trivia nights on Tuesdays really brought an extra sense of community, whimsy, and fun to the already great establishment. I have also seen the owner there almost every time I go. Whether you study at the bar or catch up with friends, Evanston Pour has something for everyone."

Location: 812 Grove St
What a reviewer said : "Cupitol has it All. This delightful, clean, friendly and inviting establishment has everything you need to relax, sip excellent coffee and enjoy top quality food. Our first visit was 2 days ago and we’re back again. Premises are spacious, airy, yet carefully arranged seating creates spaces for conversation and collaboration. Cappuccino and cortado (yep - my usuals) are carefully prepared with a nice balance of robust and medium sweet arabica notes and rich crema. Americano was superb. Food is top notch prepared with farm fresh and organic ingredients. Omelets' are crafted in French style with smoky ham off the bone on mine. Fresh squeezed orange juice is excellent. Granola fruit bowl is delicious. Baked goods are solid - arrive early before pistachio croissants run out. A weekly menu of home-made soups stands out as soup seems to be a lost art. Excellent bread and salads along with many vegetarian and vegan options. Chilled and sparkling water available on tap for convenient and clean self-service. Prices are reasonable. If I had to pick one place in Evanston for all my meals this is it. Cupitol truly has it all and you deserve it - right??"

What a reviewer said : Beautiful coffee shop with a good number of tables to hunker down and get work done. Special shoutout to their pour overs! I’ve always been skeptical of coffee tasting notes but I tried the Ethiopian udeyi and I kid you not, it actually tastes like watermelon. Awesome experience!
