Join us on Sat., July 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market for a 50th anniversary celebration filled with flavor, fun, and community spirit. Head to University Place & Oak Avenue to enjoy live music, delicious tastings, face painting, raffle prizes, special edition cookies, and so much more.

The City and Evanston Public Library have launched a free Summer Cycling Education Series to help riders of all ages and skill levels bike safely and confidently. Offered July through September and facilitated by The Recyclery, the hands-on classes cover riding, street safety, and bicycle maintenance in both English and Spanish.

Unplug with the Evanston Nature Passport
Explore Evanston’s natural areas from July 12 to August 21 with the free Evanston Nature Passport! Pick up a passport, complete fun nature activities at 8+ locations, and collect stamps to enter a raffle. Passports are available at community centers and library branches while supplies last.
Kick things off on Unplug IL Day: Take your eyes off the screens and head outside on July 12 for guided activities across the city. More info.

Get your glow on: Join the City's Parks & Recreation team for a glowing good time on Fri., July 11, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Ingraham Park. Dance under black lights, get creative with neon glow paint, and strike a pose in the blacklight photo booth at this year's Glow in the Park event.
Let's celebrate our pets: Join the Evanston Animal Shelter for their annual Trot for Tails fundraiser on Sat., July 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at Centennial Park. Enjoy a morning of pup cups, belly rubs, and community fun, all to support the shelter. Can’t make it? Donate today.
Cars, coffee, and community: Join Downtown Evanston for Cars & Coffee on Sun., July 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features classic cars displayed in the parking lot behind the Evanston Public Library. Stroll through, sip on coffee from Outside Coffee, and vote for your favorite car.

The brand-new Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn, and Bryn Mawr Red Line CTA stations open Sun., July 20. These fully accessible stations feature modern amenities like elevators, wider platforms, better lighting, and real-time updates, plus smoother, faster service on rebuilt tracks.
State Reps host Post-Session Town Hall
Join Representatives Robyn Gabel, Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz, and special guest Kam Buckner for a Post-Session Town Hall on Wed., July 16, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Robert Crown Center to discuss Illinois’ newly passed budget and the latest from Springfield. Register and submit questions.

The City has a wealth of available services, but who and what protects the safety of older adults? Join in for a panel on Wed., Aug. 6, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Falcon Room of the Evanston Public Library, where local professionals will share their expertise, personal stories, and valuable resources for seniors.
