Pavement Patch Work to Begin the Week of June 9
The City has contracted pavement patch work on asphalt surfaces throughout the city, beginning the week of June 9. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed within four to six weeks.
The work will involve removing the top two inches of deteriorated asphalt and replacing it with new, smooth asphalt. Once the material is laid, compacted, and cooled, the roadway will reopen for traffic. Minor delays may occur near work zones as flaggers guide traffic around construction crews. “No Parking” restrictions will be limited to daily work zones. Signs will be posted 48 hours in advance and removed once work is complete.
This project will improve approximately 31,000 square yards of pavement across more than 125 locations citywide.
