Artem Pop-Up Gallery is expanding into the space next door! This new addition will be dedicated to hosting workshops, pop-up events, paint parties, and more. Their goal is to create a vibrant, hands-on creative hub that brings the community together through art, learning, and shared experiences.

 Celebrate spring on Central Street
On Fri., May 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., Central Street officially kicks off its new monthly-themed event series, First Fridays ALIVE!, where businesses, eateries and community come together after hours for themed promotions and in-store fun!  Howard Street Community Clean-Up May 18
Join the Howard Street Business Association on Sun., May 18 from 1 to 5 p.m. to clean-up Howard Street—small actions make a big impact! Volunteers of all ages welcome and should meet in the parking lot of Palmhouse at 619 Howard St. Supplies and refreshments will be provided.
Stay after the clean-up for music, mingling, and thank you goodie bags from local businesses!

 Meet Ramakant Kharel, of Mt. Everest Restaurant
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re spotlighting Ramakant Kharel, owner of Mt. Everest Restaurant in downtown Evanston. Born in India and raised in Nepal, Kharel came to Chicago in 1990 with a dream of opening his own restaurant. After years of hard work in the hospitality industry, he opened Mt. Everest in 1999, blending Indian and Nepalese flavors with a commitment to excellent service. Learn more!
