 EVANSTON, IL - The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market returns for its 50th season on Saturday, May 3, welcoming the community to shop local, eat fresh, and celebrate half a century of Evanston tradition.
Named "Best Farmers Market - Suburbs" by Better Chicago, the Market will take place every Saturday, May 3 through November 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue, behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Seniors and shoppers with disabilities are invited to shop early, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
This season promises to be the biggest yet, with around 70 vendors offering a vibrant selection of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, prepared foods, and more. Visitors are encouraged to come hungry, as there will be plenty to eat on-site.

A gently used cookbook collection for a “New to You” Cookbook Giveaway. Drop off donations at the City of Evanston tent.

Help design the 50th Anniversary Tote Bag! Submit your designs online by May 31. Or, designs may be submitted by emailing them to khorwitzmartinez@cityofevanston.org.
50th Anniversary Celebration: July 12
Join in for a special 50th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 12 (rain date: July 19), featuring fun for all ages. Guests can enjoy live music throughout the day, pick up a 50th Anniversary tote bag or t-shirt, and treat themselves to decorated cookies by SuzieTeas Cookies. Kids can enjoy face painting at the Spud Club, and everyone is invited to choose a free “new-to-you” cookbook. Plus, there will be patron appreciation surprises to thank the Evanston community for 50 amazing seasons.
LINK Cards Accepted LINK processing will be available at the City of Evanston tent from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Spud Club Returns Parents and guardians can get their children involved in fun and informative activities at the Farmers' Market's free Spud Club program. Children of any age can participate in weekly activities and have the chance to win prizes!
Support Local Art The Home Grown Artists showcase for Evanston artists and their work will be featured throughout the entire season. Interested artists should use this link to apply.
Getting There Free parking is available in the 1800 Maple Self Park Garage with validation at the City tent. Accessible parking is also located along East Railroad Avenue.
Please Note: Live animals and pets, other than service animals, are not allowed at the Market.
