Key Service Relocations and Early Voting Information
Exciting changes are underway at the City! To keep you informed and ensure a smooth transition, we’re sharing important updates about City service relocations and early voting. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these transitions.
Seniors Only DMV Relocation
The Illinois Secretary of State’s Seniors Only DMV, previously located at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center (2100 Ridge Avenue), has officially moved to a new location at the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Avenue. This facility will continue to serve seniors by appointment only. Seniors can schedule an appointment by visiting ilsos.gov or calling 800-252-8980.
Civic Center Relocation
The City is in the final stages of relocating all municipal offices from 2100 Ridge Avenue to the newly established Lorraine H. Morton City Hall at 909 Davis Street. Many departments have already transitioned, and the phased relocation will be completed by March 31, 2025. After this date, the building at 2100 Ridge Avenue will no longer be accessible. Residents can view the relocation schedule at cityofevanston.org/relocation.
The Customer Service Center, home to the Collector’s Office, Adjudication, and Permitting, is now open to the public on the first floor of 909 Davis Street.
Early Voting Information
Early voting for the April 1 Consolidated General Election will take place from March 17 through March 31 at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue, Room G-300. The election includes races for Evanston’s Mayor, City Clerk, all nine ward City Council seats, school districts, and park districts. Evanston voters are encouraged to take advantage of early voting to avoid lines on Election Day. View early voting hours and additional information.
