 The Green Bay Road Corridor Improvements Project will run from March 10 through October 31, 2025. During this time, all parking on Central Street, from Eastwood to Hartrey Avenues, will be free for up to two hours. All other metered areas will continue to collect fees.
How do I get free parking? These metered parking zones will allow two hours of free parking and community members will not need to pay the meter to park.
Free doesn’t mean unlimited: Vehicles will be monitored in these zones. Citations will continue to be issued for drivers who surpass the two-hour limit, park in a “no parking” zone, have expired state license tags, etc.
Construction restrictions: During construction, the Public Works Agency (PWA) will determine how parking spaces may be utilized. As work is performed along Central Street, portions of the available parking spaces may be unavailable for public parking to allow Public Works team members to shift the driving lanes.
Please note: During construction, the City will not allow metered spaces to be hooded for private use such as construction, dumpsters, moving, loading, etc.
