 Happy (almost) Thanksgiving, Evanston!
From all of us at the City, we wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving, filled with joy, family, and great food!
Please note: The City has announced changes in service delivery and facility hours in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. No refuse collections will occur on November 28.
 Burnt out bulbs?
Each holiday season, we often discover a few strands of string lights that no longer work. Instead of tossing them in the trash, consider recycling! Starting December 1, you can drop off unwanted holiday string lights for free recycling through January 31 at the Levy Senior Center or Robert Crown Community Center.

From First Job to Film: Dave’s Legacy Highlighted in Upcoming Documentary
Mark Glats, Councilmember Kelly, Harry Major, Dave Glatt, Elizabeth Montgomery, and Melody Miller.
Meet one of Evanston's legacy business owners, Dave Glatt, founder of Dave’s Italian Kitchen, a staple of the community since 1972. Now located at 815 Noyes St., Dave’s has been a beloved spot for homemade Italian cuisine for over 50 years. Watch an interview with him.
Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and cinematographer Melody Miller, along with producer Elizabeth (Beth) Montgomery, were at Dave's Italian Kitchen earlier this week filming a documentary about the iconic business. Fun fact: Beth, the producer, was Dave's very first employee!
