About the Healthy Building Ordinance
The City is considering the Healthy Building Ordinance (HBO), a building performance standard that would regulate, educate, and provide a clear path for Evanston’s largest (over 20,000 square feet) buildings to comply with energy goals set out in our Climate Action and Resilience Plan. This proposed ordinance would create a plan to reduce the buildings’ greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. The HBO prioritizes making buildings more efficient and healthier while ensuring equitable decision-making, affordability preservation, workforce development opportunities, and cost savings. Learn more about the HBO.
Share Your Thoughts on Summer Movies & Concerts
The Evanston Parks & Recreation Department wants your help in shaping the 2025 Starlight Concerts and Movies Series. They're gathering community input on whether each ward would prefer a concert or a movie next summer. Share your thoughts by taking this quick survey and help the team determine what type of event would make the biggest impact in your neighborhood. The survey will remain open through December 31.
