Help pick the winner of our Recycling Art Contest!
In honor of America Recycles Day on November 15, Evanston middle schoolers created awesome artwork showing the dangers of putting batteries in recycling bins. Now it's your turn to choose a winner! The top design will be featured on a City recycling truck later this year.
Vote for your favorite through November 14.
Donate to the Mayor's Holiday Drive 🎁
Believe it or not, the holiday season is right around the corner! Let’s come together to ensure every family can celebrate. Through December 9, we’re collecting new, unwrapped toys, staple food items for holiday meals, and gently used kids books for the annual Mayor's Holiday Food, Book & Toy Drive. View a list of participating drop-off locations.
Want to donate your money instead? You can also contribute by making a financial donation via the Evanston Parks Foundation.
Start planning your winter fun! ❄️
Our Evanston Parks & Recreation team has released its Winter Program Guide, filled with information about special events, programs, and classes to keep the fun going all winter long!
Registration information: Winter registration opens for residents on November 11 and non-residents on November 18. Peruse the guide and make sure you're ready to sign up for your favorite activities.
A Message from our Health Department
It's time for fall vaccinations!
The Evanston Health & Human Services Department reminds residents that the CDC recommends everyone six months and older receive an updated influenza and COVID-19 vaccine this fall. The vaccines have been updated to more closely match the viruses expected to circulate this fall and winter, providing strong protection against severe illness. Please contact your doctor or local pharmacy to schedule an appointment to receive these vaccines, ideally before the end of the month.
