 Community Campfires: September 13

 Birding by Boat: September 14
Date: Saturday, September 14 Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Location: Dammrich Rowing Center Cost: $20 residents/$26 non-residents Register
 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration: September 15

 Adapted Pickleball Open House: September 20

 Zombie Scramble: October 19
Date: Saturday, October 19 Hours: Begins at 5 p.m. Location: Ladd Arboretum Cost: $35 residents/$46 non-residents Register
 Robert Crown Day Off School
The Robert Crown Day Off School offers field trips, activities, ice skating and more from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on this fall. Each day will have a different fall theme. Activities will include visits with field trips, crafts, games and outside time. Register now.
 After School Adventure
The After School Adventure program at Robert Crown Community Center offers a wealth of activities from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Mondays - Fridays and from 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. on school improvement days. To register, call 847-448-5949.
 Middle School Open Gym
The South End Community Center will host an open gym for middle schoolers beginning on October 1. Open gym will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost for drop-in play is $5.
 School Day Off Mini Robot Building
Kids aged 5 - 11 are invited to join our School Day Off Mini Robot Building program from 10 a.m. to noon at Chandler-Newberger. Register now.

 Theater for Littles

 Hatha Yoga

 Toddler Garden Club
Dates: September 23 - October 28 Times: 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Location: Eggleston Park Farmette Cost: $80 residents/$104 non-residents Register
The Clark and Dempster St. Beach Offices are now closed for the 2024 summer season. Dempster St. and Church St. Boat Launches will remain open, but unstaffed through October 23. For lakefront park picnic permits, please contact the Ecology Center at 847-448-8256.
Swimming is strictly prohibited at all beaches at all times. No lifeguards are on duty. Lake Michigan is a dangerous body of water; do not enter. In case of emergency, call 911. The sand area will remain open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
