2024 Cook County Assessor Property Tax Appeals Accepted Through August 20
EVANSTON, IL - Evanston property owners concerned about their property taxes can submit an appeal to the Cook County Board of Review (BOR) through August 20, 2024.
Property owners are encouraged to file an appeal on their own online at cookcountyboardofreview.com. Filing online is a simple and quick process that should take no more than 20 minutes. It is not necessary to submit comparable properties with your appeal. View a video tutorial by the Cook County Board of Review's Office on filing an appeal.
Those seeking assistance filing an appeal should submit an Appeal Authorization form by August 16 to have their appeal filed on their behalf or should attend the in-person property tax appeal event listed below.
Cook County tax bills always arrive one year late. Property owners should note that the money-saving effects of successful 2024 appeals will not appear on tax bills until the summer of 2025.
