The City will be contracting renovations at Independence Park (located north of Central Street and east of Stewart Avenue) over the next four months. Work is anticipated to begin the week of July 22 and be completed in October.
The project will include a new playground, new pathways, new LED lighting, new site furnishings, streetscape improvements, and landscaping.
During construction, the park will be closed to the public. Construction activities may create some inconveniences for adjacent residents, but attempts will be made to minimize these issues. Limited parking restrictions on adjacent roadways may be required to accommodate construction activities, and temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted 48-hours in advance.
Contractor
The General Contractor for this project is All-Bry Construction Company, 145 Tower Dr., Ste. 7, Burr Ridge, IL.
