Attention: Swim flag warning system at Evanston beaches
The City uses a swim flag warning system to provide beachgoers with a clear indication of swimming conditions. Flags are located at each beach on a lifeguard chair, and signage is placed at the beach entrances. These flags should not be ignored. When red flags are out, no lifeguards are on duty, indicating a significant threat to water safety. Keep an eye on the City's beach status website for up-to-date information on beach closures.
