The Evanston C.A.R.E program will kick off soon!
The Crisis Alternative Response Evanston (C.A.R.E) program is a City initiative created to provide a non-police response to certain low-risk service calls. By reimagining public safety, we can foster a stronger, more connected community. Care team professionals will respond to a range of community concerns. Learn more.
Get out, shop, and dine locally on Main Street!
While necessary, construction can be very difficult for small businesses. As the City finishes up its final Phase of the Main Street Improvements project (north side sidewalks are almost done and construction has switched to the south side as of this week), please remember that Main Street businesses remain open and need your support.
Parking Options
The City's Parking Services is offering 32 free parking spaces at 727 Main St. (lot #24). Additionally, free parking is permitted in lot #8 at 811 Main St. Residential parking restrictions and street cleaning are waived from Lee Street to the north, including Lee Street, to Washington to the south, including Washington, and to Judson to the east, including Judson.
Glow in the Park: July 12
Come to Ingraham Park on Friday, July 12, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to experience an evening filled with glowing surprises, music, and activities for all ages. Whether you're a glow-in-the-dark enthusiast or just looking for a fun night out, this event is for you.
Wear white and cover yourself with every color at the neon paint station. Then, snap a selfie in the black light photo booth and hit the dance floor to move to the beat while being splashed with even more neon paint.
