Good afternoon,
Read below for information about the 4th of July, the annual "drive-up, drop-off" Evanston Recycles event, joining the Evanston Fire Department, and more!
 Stars, Stripes, and Smiles!
Evanston's cherished 4th of July festivities are tomorrow! Organized by the Evanston Fourth of July Association, the community can anticipate a day filled with excitement, featuring a Kids' Fun Run, a vibrant parade, a concert, and a fireworks display.
A few quick reminders
Service changes: The City has announced service and facility schedule changes for the Independence Day holiday. No refuse collections will occur on Thurs, July 4. Collections will occur one day later than normal.
Fireworks safety: Keep yourself and others safe by not using fireworks. Fireworks are prohibited in Evanston because they are dangerous and can be distressing to individuals and pets who are sensitive to loud noises.
Public safety: For updates regarding traffic, parking, and more, visit the EPD Twitter account.
Beach safety: Beachgoers are reminded to observe signs and flags, note when lifeguards are not on duty, and exercise caution when enjoying Evanston beaches. A red, yellow, or green flag will be visible at all swimming beaches to indicate daily water conditions.
'Evanston Recycles' returns this Saturday ♻️
