Celebrate Independence Day with a Parade, Games, Concert and Fireworks
EVANSTON, IL - The Evanston Fourth of July Association, in cooperation with the City of Evanston, will sponsor a parade along Central Street, a fun run, kids' games, and a concert and fireworks along the lakefront on Thursday, July 4 as part of the organization's 101st annual 4th of July Celebration.
Reparations Committee Chair Robin Rue Simmons has been named as this year’s Grand Marshal to underscore the Celebration's 2024 theme "Seeds of Change" and exemplify a commitment to growth.
The Evanston Fourth of July Association is a non-profit organization formed more than 100 years ago after a child was injured while playing with fireworks.
