Enjoy another week of Starlight Movies and Concerts in the Park!
Starlight Movie: Bring your family and friends out to Leah LoMar Park, located at Mulford Street and Wesley Avenue, for a movie night on Sat., June 8. The featured film will be an 80's classic, "The Goonies", which will begin at 7 p.m.
Starlight Concert: Head to Mason Park, located at Church Street and Florence Avenue, on Tues., June 11, for the next Starlight Concert! Enjoy music by the FeelGood Party Band, playing fun, energetic, music that will make you want to dance. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.
 Gun Violence Prevention Day is June 7
Come out for our First Friday Kickoff event tomorrow, Fri., June 7, for Gun Violence Prevention Day. Show your commitment by wearing orange and attending this "My City, Your City, Our City" Safe Summer event at Mason Park, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy free food, music, activities, and more!
 Free meals for Evanston youth this summer 🍎
The City's Summer Food Program will kick off on Mon., June 10, providing free cold breakfasts and lunches, Monday through Friday, to youth ages 1 to 18 at multiple locations throughout Evanston. The program will run through August 9.
 Apply for the next round of Guaranteed Income
The City Council has approved "Project 8092," a second round of Guaranteed Income funding, offering eligible Evanston households $500 per month for one year to spend as they see fit.
Are you eligible? To qualify, community members must reside in Census Tract 8092, have a household income at or below 184 percent of the Federal Poverty Line, and be responsible for a child aged five or under.
How to apply: Applications are open through Wed., June 26, and must be completed in person either by filling out this online form to set up an appointment or by attending the Application Drop-in Session on Sun., June 9, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.

This year's Evanston Utilities Department Water Quality Report is now available at cityofevanston.org/2024waterreport. You'll be happy to know that your tap water has once again met all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and State of Illinois drinking water health standards.

We're less than a month away from the beloved Evanston 4th of July Parade. This year's Grand Marshal will be former Councilmember Robin Rue Simmons. Interested in participating in the parade? Register online by June 10!
The Evanston Public Library has launched its children’s summer reading program, Read, Renew, Repeat. Join free programs and events throughout the community that will foster a love of reading. Children who visit the library or a pop-up event can sign up for the Summer Reading program.
