Plus, join us in giving all City Public Works staff a big "thank you" for National Public Works Week!
 Memorial Day holiday schedule announced
The City has announced service changes for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Refuse collection reminder: No collections will occur on Mon., May 27. All waste services will be postponed by one day.
Memorial Day Ceremony: Join the Evanston American Legion Post 42 for a Memorial Day community reflection and ceremony honoring America's fallen heroes at Fountain Square on Mon., May 27, at 10:30 a.m.
 Swimming beaches open this weekend!
Who’s ready for some sand between your toes and a dip in Lake Michigan? Evanston beaches will open for the season this Sat., May 27, and will remain open through Labor Day!
Evanston residents: Beaches are free for you again this year. However, all beach patrons must present a season beach pass or daily ticket to enter. Pick up your passes with proof of residency from community centers.
Non-Evanston residents: You'll need to purchase season passes or daily tickets to access Evanston beaches. Use the Yodel platform for easy daily token purchases, or buy them in person at the Dempster Street and Clark Street Beach offices. Season passes are available at Evanston community centers.
