Watercraft Rentals
Watercraft rentals, including sailboats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, begin for the season on Monday, June 3. For more information, visit cityofevanston.org/watercraftrentals.
No Throw Zone
The Parks and Recreation Department will be implementing "No Throw Zones" at both Lee Street and Clark Street beaches this summer. These will include designated areas where visitors can enjoy the beach without the presence of recreational equipment in the air including balls, frisbees, and kites. These "No Throw Zones" will provide a more relaxed sand space for individuals with disabilities, families with young children, or anyone seeking a quieter, less active environment. A sign will be posted at each of these beaches indicating the assigned "No Throw Zone" areas and the beaches' Mobi-mats (the blue accessible paths already in place on the sand) will help to clearly identify the zone borders. Visit the City's Accessibility webpage for additional information.
Residents are encouraged to check the status of swimming beaches before heading out.
