Joint First and Third Ward Meeting, May 7
Good afternoon,
Please join Councilmembers Clare Kelly and Melissa Wynne, Jake Samuels of SPACE, and Parks & Recreation Director Audrey Thompson for a First and Third Ward Joint Informational Meeting about the Fall Folk Festival on Tues., May 7, at 6 p.m., at The Dawes House, 225 Greenwood St.
Hear, discuss and ask questions about SPACE's "Evanston Folk Festival", which will take place at the lakefront at Dawes Park, between September 7 and 8. More details below.

Evanston Folk Festival
The Evanston Folk Festival will take place on the lakefront on September 7 and 8, between noon and 8:30 p.m. The festival will include:

Three stages of music featuring 30+ internationally-acclaimed artists including performers native to Guatemala, Liberia, and Uganda, and multiple Grammy-award winning musicians.

A conversation tent featuring book talks and panel discussions ranging from talks about Black Country Music’s legacy to Joni Mitchell and revisiting Evanston/Northwestern’s storied Amazing Grace venue.

Family programming, gospel choirs, mariachi, children’s activities, musical instrument petting zoos, and more.

Free Evanston Folk Festival programming taking place throughout the summer in partnership with organizations throughout many of Evanston’s nine wards.

Ticketed after shows at Cahn Auditorium and SPACE once the festival ends each night.
Tickets will go on sale at the end of this week and early next week.
