Good afternoon,
Read below for information about Evanston Beach Passes, construction and capital improvement projects, National Library Week, and more!
Pick up your 2024 Beach Pass next week
Get ready for beach season! Starting April 15, season beach passes will be available. Swimming beaches will open Memorial Day weekend.
Beach passes/daily tickets are a must! Even though beaches will be free to Evanston residents again this year, all beach patrons must present a season beach pass or daily ticket to enter the beach.
Where can I pick up my pass? Starting April 15, you can pick up passes with proof of residency (60201 and 60202) from the Robert Crown Community Center, Levy Senior Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, and Chandler-Newberger Community Center.
What if I don't live in Evanston? Non-Evanston residents must purchase a season beach pass or daily beach ticket to access Evanston swimming beaches. Learn more.

 Celebrate National Library Week 📚
It’s National Library Week! This year's theme is "Ready, Set, Library". Race to discover all the possibilities you'll find at the Evanston Public Library.
We love our local Evanston Public Library staff:
- They sing and dance with your kids (sometimes in pajamas).
- They lead their field in equity programming at national conferences.
- They dress up like catrinas and bring the library to you in the parks They share their hidden talents (like origami)
- They teach your teens to sew, then take their projects halfway around the world (Ghana!) to help end period poverty.
- They argue over the best books to recommend to readers.
- And they're always smiling!
