Enjoy Evanston: Your Go-To Guide for Business District Events & Information
The City has launched Enjoy Evanston, a centralized website and social media accounts to highlight all nine of our unique business districts. These platforms will serve as your go-to source for everything happening throughout the city – from events and local business news to dining and shopping recommendations.

 Early voting kicks off Monday 🗳️
Early Voting for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election on March 19 will be held at the Morton Civic Center in Room G-300 between March 4 and March 18.
Voter Registration: Residents can register to vote online or in person at the City Clerk's Office, at all early voting sites, and at their election date polling location. Visit the Cook County Clerk's website for more information.

The Ladies of the Dawes House: Attend an in-person presentation by Kathleen Alonso, Jane Driscool, and Joan Shurtliff at the Evanston History Center on Fri., March 8, at 1 p.m. Hear captivating stories about the women depicted in the Charles Gates Dawes House portraits. RSVP to attend.
Making history through costume design: The Evanston Public Library will host a virtual conversation with Ruth E. Carter and Aisha Harris on March 20 at 7 p.m. Carter made history as the first Black woman to win the Costume Design category at the Academy Awards for Black Panther.

Street cleaning begins tomorrow
Street cleaning operations will begin tomorrow, Friday, March 1. Signs posted at the beginning and end of each block indicate the days and times when parking restrictions will be in place on each street. View the 2024 street cleaning schedule and sign up for courtesy email or text notifications.
First installment property tax bill payments due tomorrow
The first of two installments of 2023 property tax bills were mailed on January 29. This installment is 55 percent of a property's total tax bill for the previous year and is due on March 1. Property owners can make payments online, by mail, or in person at the Cook County Treasurer's office.
Paw-some news! Dog Beach Reopens March 1
The Evanston Dog Beach will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., beginning March 1. A valid dog beach pass is required for entry. Pick up your pass in person on weekdays at city community centers.
Attend a Winter Climate Action Accelerator event
Learn about EPD. Connect with the community.
Apply to join the 2024 Spring Session of the Community Police Academy by March 7. This is a great opportunity to learn about how the Evanston Police Department works, meet officers, and connect with community members. The class meets on Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
