Press Release: Evanston Fire Explorer Program Open House January 24
EVANSTON, IL - The Evanston Fire Department is hosting an open house for its Fire Explorer Program. This coed program was launched in 2012 and is designed for students ages 14 to 20 years old. Participants get the opportunity to work with and learn from professionals of the Evanston Fire Department. The program covers information about emergency medical protocols, firefighting policies and procedures, while giving participants hands-on experiences with real life fire and emergency medical equipment. There are team-building exercises, ride-alongs, and much more.
