Evanston 311 Platform Upgrade: A New Chapter in Efficient City Services
EVANSTON, IL - The City of Evanston has successfully transitioned to a new platform host for Evanston 311’s online citizen support center and mobile app, now powered by QAlert, a request management enterprise with Catalis. This move, initiated at the end of 2022, marks a significant path forward in providing residents with a more user-friendly and efficient tool to communicate with and request services from the City.
Evanston 311, launched in 2011, includes a call center and an online citizen support center. The center serves as residents' gateway to City information and services, providing assistance in both English and Spanish. From snow storms to street cleaning and potholes to special trash pick-ups, 311 makes it easy for community members and staff to report issues, track progress, and find the information they need.
"Evanston 311 has entered an enhanced level of service. By leveraging this new platform, we're streamlining communication, boosting accountability, and delivering services more efficiently, helping us to build a stronger and more accessible Evanston for all,” said City Manager Luke Stowe.
Platform key features and improvements:
Enhanced Mobile App: The improved mobile app is now available for download on both the App Store and Google Play. Those who have previously downloaded the app can simply perform an app update to benefit from the new platform.
Seamless Photo and Video Uploads: The new platform allows users to upload up to five photos and videos seamlessly, providing City staff with additional information.
Anonymous Reporting: Residents now have the option to report issues or concerns anonymously, ensuring a secure and confidential channel for feedback.
Robust Reporting System: QAlert provides a more robust reporting system, enabling effective tracking for improved city planning and resource allocation.
