Community Campfires - Nature At Night
Next stop, Eiden Park! Join the Ecology Center tonight for a Community Campfire from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Spend your evenings this fall season building community with friends, family, and neighbors around a cozy campfire that will move from park to park! Enjoy exploring our parks at night, as we learn about nature in the neighborhood and roast marshmallows. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. Artist Talk at Noyes Cultural Arts Center
Come out to the Noyes Cultural Arts Gallery on Saturday, Nov. 4, at noon, to hear talk from the local Evanston artist who created 'Charcoal, Tower, and Lightness'.
Natural Landscaping at Home
The North Shore Channel Habitat Project has been transforming sections of the Ladd Arboretum. This program will draw on their experience to offer inspiration and practical ideas for home gardeners. We will talk about principles of bird-friendly landscaping and highlight some native plants that work well in limited space. The Noyes Gallery, in partnership with Evanston Made, is hosting an Art Swap on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free, but you must pre-register. For more information, contact Angela Allyn at 847-448-8263.
The Old Lady Project at Noyes Cultural Arts

Wild Weekends - Misunderstood Creatures of Halloween!
Bats, snakes, spiders, and...skunks, oh my! Now that the festivities of Halloween are over, we will meet some amazing and beneficial animals that sometimes get a bad rap during the Halloween season. The Ecology Center will be partnering with a wildlife education organization to meet fruit bats and other misunderstood creatures and learn why it’s important to protect them. Enjoy Dia De Los Muertos at the Levy Center
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Levy Senior Center on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event features a performance from the Mariachi Sirenas, Chicago's very own all-women mariachi group with charismatic personalities and a love for la música regional mexicana. We will also have several art stations. Admission is free. Thank you to our event sponsor, First Northern Credit Union for their support.
Fall Fermenting & Pickling
After the fall harvest, it is time to preserve foods from our gardens for the winter season! Participants of this class will learn about the science and art of fermenting and pickling vegetables and will test out techniques to take home. Fran Randall Concert
The Levy Senior Center Foundation is proud to bring the talents of young, award-winning classical musicians to the Levy Senior Center. The outstanding lineup continues to honor the memory of Fran Randall who loved classical music and played an important role in opening the current center. The concert will take place on Friday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m.

Children's Theatre Presents "13 The Musical!"
Tickets are on sale now for the Evanston Children's Theatre production of "13 the Musical" at the Levy Senior Center. The show will run from Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19. There will be four total performances by two different casts. Buy your tickets today.

Seniors, walk right in!
The Secretary of State's Office has opened a new, walk-in "Senior Only" DMV service temporarily housed in Room G300 of the Morton Civic Center. Seniors will not need appointments, as this walk-in center is specifically designed to meet their needs including Real ID, behind the wheel driving test, and renewals of State ID as well as drivers license.
Light The Night
The City’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking proposals for solar- and battery-powered, artistic light "installations" to be displayed in Tallmadge Park on January 27. Artists will receive a $150 check for supplies after the event.
