Evanston Senior Services and North Shore Senior Center join forces
A new service is available at the Levy Senior Center! In partnership between the North Shore Senior Center and the City of Evanston, seniors can receive assistance in accessing Evanston resources. Services provided range from Home Care Entitlement information to Benefit Access Application assistance to SHIP appointments.
Call the Levy Senior Center at 847-448-8250 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available beginning on October 25.
Monet Returns - Jim Parks in Action
Jim Parks will be hard at work on new paintings in the lobby if the Levy Center and will continue weekly on Wednesdays. You’re cordially invited to stop by on Wednesday, Oct. 25, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., to watch the creative process in action. Stay as long or as little as you like. He’s bringing plenty of paper and pencils in case you’d like to try your hand.
New Group - Evanston Woodturners
New Free Program - Songs by Heart
Songs by Heart is a fun and theraputic sing along program designed for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia along with their caregivers, but all are welcome. The program is a weekly program and begins on Fri., Oct. 27 in the Hackberry Room. Call Levy front desk to register at 847-448-8250.
Fran Randall Concert
The Levy Senior Center Foundation is proud to bring the talents of young, award-winning classical musicians to the Levy Senior Center. The outstanding lineup continues to honor the memory of Fran Randall who loved classical music and played an important role in opening the current center. The concert will be on Fri., Nov 17 at 1:30 p.m.
Seniors, walk right in!
The Secretary of State's Office has opened a new, walk-in "Senior Only" DMV service temporarily housed in Room G300 of the Morton Civic Center. Seniors will not need appointments, as this walk-in center is specifically designed to meet their needs.
Free Vibrant Living Workshops
Join one or both of our free, 45-minute Vibrant Living workshops. Registration is required. Space is limited, so call the Levy front desk today at 847-448-8250 to get signed up.
Super Senior Day, October 27
Super Senior Day is coming to the Levy Senior Center on Friday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Secretary of State's mobile unit will be doing vision testing, renewal of state ID as well as drivers license. They are taking appointments for the REAL ID. To make an appointment, you must register in advance by calling the Levy front desk at 847-448-8250.
Power of Attorney for Healthcare Workshop
The CJE SeniorLife will be at the Levy Senior Center on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a free Power of Attorney for Healthcare and Medical Directive (Living Will) Workshop. Registration is required in advance, please call the front desk at 847-448-8250 to sign up.
Save the Date-Holiday Grooves & Disco Moves
Come out in your best Ugly Holiday Sweater and get ready to dance to local DJ Michael Stinson playing your favorite disco hits at the first Holiday Grooves & Disco Moves: December 8 Delight on Friday, Dec. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Levy Senior Center. All are welcome to attend.

Students for Boomers Tech Assistance
Evanston Township Student Volunteers will be at the Levy Senior Center on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to provide assistance with mobile devices and other technology. Call the front desk at 847-448-8250 to get signed up.
Levy Café
