Evanston Fire Department to Host Emergency Preparedness Fair, October 14
EVANSTON, IL - The Evanston Fire Department's Office of Emergency Management will host an Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Evanston Township High School.
The Office of Emergency Management aims to bring awareness to human-created hazards and climate-related weather events, improve community resilience, and provide community members with the tools they need to minimize risks and stay safe during emergencies.
Representatives from the City as well as other local organizations will be in attendance to offer resources and information, highlighting opportunities designed to build preparedness and offer assistance before, during, and after an emergency. There will also be break-out informational sessions. Those who attend a break-out session can pick up a free preparedness kit (while supplies last).
This family-friendly event is open to the public free of charge. Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required. Preparedness materials available at the event will also be available online on the Office of Emergency Management webpage, or at Evanston Fire Department Headquarters, located at 909 Lake Street, while supplies last.
