Participatory Budgeting: It's almost time to vote! ✔️

We're coming to the next stage in our Participatory Budgeting process, voting! Over the past nine months, more than 1,300+ ideals were collected from community members to decided how the allocated $3 million of federal ARPA funds should be spent to address our city’s needs. Those ideas were narrowed down to 20 proposals to appear on the preliminary ballot.
When will voting take place? Voting will take place online during the month of September as well as at community centers and pop-up events throughout the month.
How do I vote online? Make sure to register to vote before September to receive an email with information on how to vote online September 1. You must register to receive a ballot to vote online.
How will the ballot work? Each voter may select 1-7 proposals. The proposal with the most votes will be funded, followed by the proposal with the second most votes, and so on until the entire $3 million is spent.
That’s it for today's e-news. Thanks for reading!
Sincerely,
