 Starlight Movies in the Park kick off tonight
Join Captain Jack Sparrow as he sets sail on the Black Pearl! The Starlight Movies in the Park Series kicks off tonight, Thurs., July 13, 6 p.m., at Greenwood Street Beach with a showing of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl". This event is free, but a season or daily beach pass is required to enter.

 Savor the sounds of summer!
Come out to Elks Park on Tues., July 18, to enjoy a Starlight Concert and Food Truck Festival. Many of your favorite food trucks will be onsite beginning at 5:30 p.m. offering mouth-watering fare. Then, at 7 p.m., SUITE MOLLIE will perform a variety of funk, rock, soul and R&B music.

 ASPIRE program receives generous contribution
Thank you to NorthShore University HealthSystem for its generous $400,000 contribution to the City's ASPIRE Community Workforce Development Program. In February, the Evanston City Council approved an additional $200,000 ARPA fund match to complement this contribution.
What is ASPIRE? From internships to employment preparation, this program provides opportunities for students and young adults to explore healthcare careers while advancing health equity, promoting well-being, and stimulating economic growth.

Celebrate Unplug Illinois Day with "The Great Evanston Nature Walk" on Sat., July 15. Participants will receive a map of natural areas to visit in Evanston, each one with a fun, free nature activity led by Ecology Center staff and natural area stewards. Sign up to receive the map.

The City's partnership with Simple Recycling allows you to easily recycle clothes and household textiles. All you have to do is schedule pickups online in advance at SimpleRecycling.com or by calling 866-835-5068.
