 EVANSTON, IL - Evanston's 2023 Starlight Concert Series will feature nine free outdoor concerts at park locations throughout the city, June 6 through August 8.
Community members will enjoy a wide range of talented artists and musical genres, from jazz, to classic soul, to Southern rock and blues. The concert schedule is available at cityofevanston.org/starlight.
Starlight concerts will take place on Tuesdays (unless otherwise specified), from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be canceled. The decision to cancel will be made by 4:30 p.m. on the show date. Residents can learn about a cancellation by calling 847-448-4311 (until 6 p.m.) or by visiting cityofevanston.org/starlight.
The July 18 Starlight Concert at Elks Park will include a Food Truck Festival, with trucks featuring a variety of food and dessert options on site beginning at 5:30 p.m. Food vendors will also be available at many of the other Starlight Concerts.
In addition to the Starlight Concert series on Tuesday nights, a special Juneteenth celebration including a concert by Funkadesi, The Donovan Mixon Jazz Ensemble, and Gospel Singing Group MC4, will be held on Saturday, June 17 from noon to 6 p.m. at Ingraham Park. Art vendors, food trucks, and family activities will be available.
The Starlight Concert Series is presented by the City's Parks and Recreation Department and is sponsored in full by Evanston In-School Music Association and First Northern Credit Union and in part by Astound Broadband and Lurie Children's Primary Care.
