Arts & Craft Beverage Crawl on the Mile Tonight!
Take advantage of this sunny spring day and head out to the Main Dempster Mile tonight, May 18, for their annual Evanston Arts & Craft Beverage Crawl. All profits from this event benefit Evanston Made. Enjoy one-night only art exhibits while you taste locally made craft beverages in stores all over the Main-Dempster Mile.
Walk-up tickets are available at the door tonight at the following locations:

 City to Host Minority, Disadvantaged, and Women-Owned Business Contracting Fair
The City of Evanston’s Minority, Women, Disadvantaged and Evanston Businesses Enterprises Committee will launch their first Minority, Disadvantaged, and Women-Owned Business Contracting Fair on Tuesday, June 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St.
The Fair is designed to expand awareness about contracting and procurement opportunities in Evanston for minority, women, disadvantaged, and Evanston business enterprises (MWDEBE). Large, Evanston-based businesses will be in attendance to educate about upcoming contracting opportunities.
MWDEBE looking for new business opportunities are encouraged to register online to attend for free by Thursday, June 1.

 May Mart Continues!
May is Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American (ASPA) Heritage Month! Support our local ASPA-owned businesses AND enter to win a $100 E-Town gift card by participating in May Mart, a month-long open house event celebrating the vibrant diversity of food, art, craft, trade, wares and services of Evanston’s ASPA business owners.
Participating businesses will have postcards for customers to track purchases, which they can submit for the $100 gift card raffled at the end of the month. Read more about this event and participating businesses!

The One Howard Street planning is well underway and we would love to hear about what you want to see from Howard Street. Read more about the project by visiting the City's website and complete the One Howard Street Survey to make your voices heard and enter for a chance to win a $25 gift card!
The City of Evanston is also working with consultants and local businesses to assess the possible designation of a Special Service Area (SSA) on Howard Street in Evanston. Take the Howard Street Needs Assessment Survey to help determine what services are needed!
 Sustain Evanston Program Launch!
In honor of Earth Day, the City launched its reimagined Sustain Evanston Business Incentive Program on Sat., April 22. The program provides a funding tool to assist small business and commercial property owners in implementing sustainability measures that align with the goals of the City's Climate Action & Resilience Plan (CARP).
Grants of up to $25,000 will support sustainability-related projects, including, but not limited to waste management, energy, water, and green infrastructure. Applications will be open through August 31. Apply today!
