 It's National Drinking Water Week!
National Drinking Water Week, May 7-13, encourages us all to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives.
The City of Evanston provides more than 400,000 residents in Evanston and surrounding communities with reliable, high-quality drinking water. Curious how this water gets to your tap? Check out our video to learn about Evanston's drinking water treatment process!
Victim Services Unit relocated to Civic Center
After decades of operating at the Police Station, the Victim Services Unit has moved to the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., effective May 9, 2023, due to a reorganization of Police staff and changes in daily operations.
No changes in service: With this relocation, there will be no change in operations and services provided by the Victim Services Unit. Advocates will continue to work closely together with the Police Department in serving Evanston community members.
How to contact them: The Victim Services Advocates are now located at the Civic Center and can be reached at 847-424-5453 or 847-424-5457. Community members should report to the Police Station and not the Civic Center with any life threatening or emergency situations.
May 13 is World Migratory Bird Day!

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day: Join the Ecology Center and Evanston North Shore Bird Club on Sat., May 13 for a bird walk at 8 a.m. at the Ladd Arboretum and programs at 10 and 11:30 a.m. at the Ecology Center.
