 Sustain Evanston Program Launch!
In honor of Earth Day, the City is launching its reimagined Sustain Evanston Business Incentive Program on Saturday, April 22. The program provides a funding tool to assist small business and commercial property owners in implementing sustainability measures that align with the goals of the City's Climate Action & Resilience Plan (CARP).
Grants of up to $25,000 will support sustainability-related projects, including, but not limited to waste management, energy, water, and green infrastructure. Applications will be open through August 31. Apply today!

Thomas and Dutch, located at 703 Church St, opened last week in Downtown Evanston. The restaurant aims to crate a unique dining experience with midwestern ingredients at the center of it all. Read more about the concept and journey!
 May Mart Returns!
May is Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American (ASPA) Heritage Month! Support our local ASPA-owned businesses AND enter to win a $100 E-Town gift card by participating in May Mart, a month-long open house event celebrating the vibrant diversity of food, art, craft, trade, wares and services of Evanston’s ASPA business owners.
Participating businesses will have postcards for customers to track purchases, which they can submit for the gift card raffled at the end of the month.

About One Howard Street:
One Howard Street is a collaborative effort between Rogers Park Business Alliance, the City of Chicago, and the City of Evanston to develop a unified corridor plan for Howard Street between Sheridan Road and Western Avenue/Asbury Avenue. This is a community-driven planning process.
Maker's Markets set to return May 7!
The Maker's Markets return on May 7! Creatives can sell what they have or shop for handmade goods by going to the Maple Avenue Parking Garage in Downtown Evanston. Find more information and sign up to participate.

The survey asks people to think about how an Asian American Art & Culture Center could serve the local Asian American community, Evanston and surrounding communities-at-large.  DCEO grant available for hardest hit industries
The Back to Business (B2B) grant program provides recovery grants for businesses in the hardest-hit industries. Eligible restaurants, hotels and creative arts businesses are eligible to apply for the $175 million in available grant funding as part of an effort to support ongoing recovery in hard-hit industries.
All eligible applicants will receive a grant as long as the business meets eligibility requirements and submits proper documentation and attestations. Applications are now open through May 10. Apply today!
 2023 Business Registration Renewal Notice
2023 Business Registration Renewals were due April 1, 2023. All for-profit businesses with a brick and mortar location in Evanston, including those licensed by the state (i.e., law offices, medical offices, beauty salons, etc.), are required to renew their registration annually. Business Registration renewals will be valid through March 31, 2024.
Don't see your registration number, or haven't yet registered? Please complete the online business registration form at cityofevanston.org/businessregistrationapplication.
