Invitation for 2023 State of the City

As mayor, I believe that my annual State of the City address should be a community event that's accessible to and designed for all Evanstonians.

That's why I'm pleased to announce that the 2023 State of the City address will be structured differently than in years past: the event will be free and open to the public at no charge. It will be held at Evanston SPACE on Tuesday, May 23, with a reception at 3 p.m. and the speech itself beginning at 4 p.m. 

Though the event is free, you still need to sign up to receive a ticket—you can do so through Eventbrite. As we try this new structure, please help us out by promptly reserving tickets if you intend to come, not reserving tickets if you don't intend to come, and returning tickets if you've reserved them and changed your mind. That way we'll have the ability to ensure that as many people as possible have the ability to attend.
