FREE BOOKS, ALL THE TIME! We're celebrating National Library Week, April 23-29, with the theme "There's More to the Story." National Library Week is taking place in the midst of a national movement to limit what books public and school libraries can buy and circulate, especially for kids. A record 2,571 unique books were targeted for censorship in 2022, a 38% increase from 2021 when 1,858 titles were targeted. Read with pride what others want to keep from you and your kids:
Both locations of the Evanston Public Library will be closed all day and evening on Thursday, April 27. Mark your calendar and plan ahead!
