After a call came into the Evanston Police Department about a guinea pig in Mason Park, Evanston Animal Control Warden Caitlin Schulien got to work searching for the abandoned pet.
With some incentive from her sergeant in the form of a caramel macchiato, Caitlin was able to find the guinea pig, who is now affectionately named Macchiato.
Macchiato is currently residing at the Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital and the organization is working to find him a good home. WBBM Newsradio has the story.
That’s it for today's e-news. Thanks for reading!
