Evanston Police Announce Steering Wheel Lock Give Away for Kia Owners
 EVANSTON, IL - In an effort to combat rising Kia vehicle thefts, the Evanston Police Department, in partnership with Kia America, will be giving away free steering wheel locks to Evanston community members that own or lease a Kia. Evanston residents are eligible to register for this event. Community members must come to the Evanston Police Station at their scheduled time and will be required to bring their Kia along with proof of Evanston residency before being issued a steering wheel lock. Limit one lock per community member. Pre-registration is required and there is a limited supply of steering wheel locks. Click HERE to register.

- 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
- 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Evanston community members should come to the front desk during their scheduled time. A Community Policing Unit Officer will greet community members, verify Kia ownership and Evanston residency prior to distributing the steering wheel lock.
