 Participatory Budgeting Idea Collection Assembly
The participatory budgeting process continues with an Idea Collection Assembly in Spanish on Sat., Jan. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Robert Crown Community Center in Room B/C. At the session, participants can submit ideas and learn how to become a budget delegate who develops ideas into next summer’s ballot. Register to attend.
Food, transportation, interpretation, and childcare support will be provided based on the RSVPs for all sessions.
 Parkway tree inventory updating
The City's Forestry Division has contracted with Great Lakes Urban Forestry Management, who will be updating Evanston’s parkway tree inventory through February in portions of the 2nd, 5th, 6th and 8th wards. Maintaining a tree inventory will help the Division to identify and address site- and species-specific concerns and long-term trends.
Throughout the process, community members may see crews examining and taking measurements of parkway trees. Each tree requires up to a few minutes to review, and the process does not harm trees in any way.
