The Evanston Public Library is a resource hub for our diverse community. Our Librarians and support staff increase literacy of all kinds through more than 1,000 programs every year for all ages – from beloved story times to workshops that connect residents to critical resources, from housing to healthcare.

The Evanston Public Library is not just a special place in this community, but a vital resource for so many people – and it’s all made available for free. Of course, this is not done individually, but collectively. We all decide how large of a place our library has in Evanston.
Unfortunately, the Library’s expenses are not covered by taxes alone. We must increase our philanthropic support if we want to not only continue offering all of EPL’s amazing programs and services, but to grow our capacity and offer even more. A gift of any size makes a difference; please consider donating today.
Thank you!
Together we are the Library!
For almost 150 years, the Library has provided educational, culturally-rich resources for all residents, helped children prepare for school through the joys of reading and learning, celebrated Evanston’s diversity, and helped residents find information they seek. The Library is more than a building of books; it is a place to meet, connect, learn, and explore. To learn more, visit www.epl.org.
